Public Safety Czar redesign launched

Matt Weeden Design has just completed work on the new site for Public Safety Czar.

Specializing in communications equipment, PSC needed an overhaul for their site. The original was built in WordPress, but the bolt-on e-commerce solution was limiting at best.

We completely redesigned the site, as well as integrating it with the powerful Magento shopping platform. The result is a site with easy to manage content, full featured e-commerce and a solid foundation for SEO.

As part of the service, we also created a new logo for the company that reflects their focus on wireless communication.

Content Marketing: Invitation vs. Invasion – BMA Roundtable

WordPress site for Parent Your Parents launched

Matt Weeden Design is pleased to announce the launch of the revised site for Parent Your Parents.

Parent Your Parents is a national organization offering insight, advice and resource lists for those who find themselves caring for aging loved ones.

Previously built on a different platform and using WordPress for the blog only, the site is now run entirely through WordPress. This gives the site owners one single point of entry to manage all the various content.

The site features the standard static page content, but also several special page types used to display information about providers and service organizations, and online articles. Leveraging the power of custom post types within WordPress, we built a system that makes it easy for the site owners to plug in the relevant information for each vendor and have it automatically populate. The end user, meanwhile, can search across categories and location (state and/or zip code) to find providers close to them in the area they need help with.

This site is a wonderful example of the power and flexibility of WordPress.

New WordPress site for Ashley Schenkein Jewelry launched

Working in conjunction with Trulium, Inc., Matt Weeden Design has completed a new WordPress site for Ashley Schenkein Jewelry Design.

The site both showcases Ms. Schenkein’s work, and allows customers to purchase items online. The content and shopping are all handled through WordPress.

Matt Weeden Design created the theme from supplied art, and modified the e-commerce plugin Shopp to fit the look and feel.

This new site replaces an out-of-the-box e-commerce solution that ASJD had used previously. By switching to WordPress, ASJD gained much more control over the content and display of the site, as well as saving on commissions taken by the previous e-commerce provider.

WordPress site launched for Providence Construction

providence construction - wordpress siteWorking in conjunction with SharpEnd Solutions, Matt Weeden Design has built and launched the new site for Providence Construction, a family company in Denver, Colorado.

In this instance we adapted an existing theme, creating custom colors and layouts and applying the theme over a WordPress installation.

Features include a home page slide show, several portfolio pages separated by category, and a blog to allow the folks at Providence to maintain fresh content – which helps immensely with SEO rankings.

SharpEnd Solutions reports that the client is “super-pleased with the new site!”

Book by Owner redesign launched

Matt Weeden Design, LLC is pleased to announce the launch of the re-branded bookbyowner.com.

Book By Owner is a service for owners of rental properties (vacation homes). They offer assistance in dealing with the day-to-day operations of renting your property, which is especially useful if you don’t live close to the property. Unlike traditional property management companies, Book By Owner does not charge a 30%-50% commission!

The Book By Owner site needed an update, to give it a fresher, modern feel. Once again we teamed up with eightbysix, who created the design from which we built the site. We also transitioned the site to the WordPress platform, for the client’s ease of use and to take advantage of all the benefits the WordPress platform provides.

Thanks to the power and flexibility of WordPress, we were able to quickly add a shopping cart to the existing site with minimal fuss. Bonnie can easily update the product/price, and add other products as they become available.

Easton BJJ Arvada site launched

Matt Weeden Design, LLC is pleased to announce the launch of the new site for Easton BJJ Arvada.

Easton BJJ Arvada is a marital arts school located in Arvada, Colorado. Run by the Kline brothers, the school offers classes on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, mixed martial arts, and Thai boxing, as well as kids’ programs.

A division of Easton Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, the Kline brothers wanted a unique look for this location. Working with Pink Shag Design, who provided the look/feel, Matt Weeden Design built a site that offers a unique experience. The site is a single-page site, which means that all the main pages of the site are contained within one single window. Clicking on a menu item scrolls the page up or down to the desired location.

The site also features a footer with an opt-in form and social media links. This footer animates in from the bottom on page load, and animates out on user click.

Built on the WordPress platform, the site can be easily updated by the Kline brothers with news and content changes.
