Not necessarily at all. The hallmark of a blog design is two or three columns, and the same sidebar content on every single page. But your site doesn’t have to be designed that way! For example, this site is built on WordPress, and it isn’t bound by traditional blog design constraints; the blog pages are the only pages that look like a blog.
I only want to add a blog to my site but keep everything else the same. Can I do that?
Yes! Adding a blog to existing sites was the way we got into WordPress to start with. In most cases your server will already be set up to handle WordPress, but we can find out for sure as part of the discovery process, and we work with your hosting provider to address any issues.
Is WordPress appropriate for every site?
Not necessarily. Depending on the complexity of your site (and by that we mean what you want it to do, as opposed to how many pages there are) it may make sense to build at least some elements of the site from scratch with custom programming.
