Problem: Create a cover for Quality Gold's biennial gift product catalog, with two versions - one for the more conservative jeweler audience, and one for the more modern gift audience.

Solution: I designed a cover featuring a bow and ribbon built in Illustrator, making it appear that the entire catalog is a gift. The ribbon serves to delineate elements of the cover on the front and spine (see 3-D interactive view). I used a shade of violet for the conservative audience, and a vibrant blue-and-orange for the gift audience.
