9/21/09: Matt Weeden Design named to National ComTel's Preferred Vendor list
Pleased with the work I did redesigning their Web site, National ComTel has added Matt Weeden Design to their list of preferred vendors/partners. The list will take the form of a printed booklet that president Todd McIntyre will carry with him, and a list on National ComTel's server for all employees to access. This stronger relationship between our two businesses will provide benefits to National ComTel's customers, and increased business for me - a win/win situation!
Matt Weeden Design is proud to join National ComTel on this venture, and looks forward to a long and strong partnership.
9/4/09: New site premierspeakersva.com is launched

Sometimes, as a start-up, you just need to get a page up on the Web with some basic info. You probably don't have a great deal of money to spend on it, so you need something simple, with minimal design and functionality. We call these "brochure sites" because they offer a quick overview of a company, and maybe an email link.
Linda Yamaguchi needed just such a site, and for a nominal fee I was able to provide that for her. In these cases I keep my rates low by spending very little time on the design; for Linda, I basically copied the look of her business card from VistaPrint.
Once the brochure page is up, we can always revisit it later (as your time and budget allow) to add pages, create a fully custom design, and add features like contact forms, e-commerce, and more.
8/26/09: Happy anniversary to me
One year ago today I accepted David Chao's gracious offer to take me on as a freelance Web developer for CBD Management. That offer launched me on my way as a full-time freelancer. So, even though it took me until 10 months later to register as an LLC, I think today counts as my 1-year anniversary. No gifts, please.
...well, unless you really want to.
8/14/09: Testimonials page added
With my recent success it finally occurred to me to start collecting testimonials from satisfied clients. I have three up to start with, and check back soon for more as I methodically convert customers into raving fans.
8/10/09: Redesign of nationalcomtel.com is launched

Over the summer I performed a redesign of the corporate site for National ComTel Network, Inc., a telecommunications provider with offices here in Denver and in California. My challenge was to create a new design that was clean, modern, and more interactive than the previous design. The site went live over the weekend, and the results are in: both staff and customers of NCNI love it! Click here for the portfolio page.
