2/2/10: New site Global Referral Groups launched

Global Referral Groups Inc. is a new leads group organization based in the Denver area. Focused on building quality relationships among members, the corporation provides not only leads groups, but also events geared toward entrepreneurs. In order to get the word out and establish a useful Web presence, the owners turned to Matt Weeden Design and Veal Creative. David Veal provided the artwork and aesthetic guidance; I turned the artwork into a functional Web site.
The site launched before all the features were complete in order to start driving traffic. Very soon, the most powerful feature of the site will be complete: the membership application process. With 4 distinct groups (and counting), and only one representative of each industry allowed in a given group, it is important to keep track of what positions are open in real-time so that anyone signing up online can see if their industry is available in the group of their choice. The application process allows only positions that are available to be selected, and automatically inserts a new member into the group listing upon successful checkout. As soon as the e-commerce is fully functional, interested parties will be able to apply instantly online.
As the organization grows, future generations of the site will include a function to search for members by user-specified criteria.
1/14/10: New site Thebeau Construction launched

Thebeau Construction is a custom home builder in Breckenridge, Colorado. The owner hired Cris Morales of Basecamp Strategic Design to design a site for his company. Cris is a print-based designer, not a Web designer; consequently she hired me to develop the site based on her design.
The site evokes the feeling of a well-constructed environment, perfect for a home builder. Other services we've provided include a custom HTML email signature featuring the new Thebeau logo.
Many thanks to Cris for the opportunity to work on this project!
1/4/10: New site Elkhorn Ranch launched

Situated to the southeast of Denver, Elkhorn Ranch is a new neighborhood catering to those who like wide open spaces, and horses. Carla Broadhurst, the real estate agent in charge of selling the properties, needed a Web site to promote the area to potential lot buyers. The site I built makes exensive use of client-provided local photography to capture the beauty and character of the area. These photos appear as page backgrounds and also in a couple of gallery pages, which use a lightbox effect to display full-size photos.
With an earthy color scheme and rustic textured background, this site evokes the great outdoors as seen in the great state of Colorado.
12/15/09: Merry Christmas

Keeping in touch with clients, strategic partners, and so on is vitally important, and never more so than around the holidays. As a Web designer/developer proficient in Flash, I'm able to do this in style by creating my own Flash e-cards - and personalizing them for each individual recipient. For those who are wondering: why yes, I'd be happy to create an e-card campaign for you...
If I somehow missed anyone, I'm very sorry. You can see your personalized e-card by entering your first name in the form below. If you'd rather not enter your name, just click the link below the form.
Merry Christmas to all!

12/11/09: Ecommerce for NCNI up and running

When I redesigned the site for National ComTel a few months back, their online bill payment function consisted of entering the amount of your bill and clicking a button, then going to an external site to finish your payment. Now, the process has gone one notch higher: all payment details are entered on the same page, and the payment is processed directly from National ComTel's site via a secure API. This results in an easier user experience, and removes all traces of third-party involvement. Everything now happens behind the scenes, which lends NCNI a more professional air.
